Branding for Engage, Poppulo’s annual employee communications conference. The main goal was to create a unique, timeless, and distinct brand, while keeping it in line with Poppulo’s primary brand identity. Engage used to take place at a different location every year, but since the pandemic it has become a virtual event.
Adapting over the years to succeed
Engage started as a customer-only conference — formerly known as Poppulo Customer Summit — but quickly expanded to become a global event in employee communications. Each year, Poppulo took Engage to a different location, and all event branding was customised according to the host city. Due to the pandemic, the 2020 edition — initially planned to take place in London — was hosted online and became a huge success, providing attendees with a unique platform experience.

Distinct look with alignment & consistency
The conference branding was highly influenced by its parent brand, Poppulo. The main goal was to give the event a distinct look, but keep it aligned with Poppulo’s identity. Knowing I had to preserve the main features, such as typeface and colours, I drove the focus towards giving Engage custom elements, such as quote marks, and injecting some landmark iconography in the branded assets.
